Common questions about Rendevuu.
Is Rendevuu a dating app or a hookup app?
Neither, exactly. We call ourselves travel-social — the goal is to connect verified people who happen to be at the same hotel. Some matches turn romantic, some turn into a hiking partner, some turn into a friendly drink at the bar. The constraint that makes it interesting is that everyone's actually somewhere together, right now.
How do you verify that I'm really at the hotel?
Two layers. First, you confirm the hotel and your stay dates when you check in. Second, the app uses geofencing to confirm you're physically near the property. If you try to check in from across town, it won't let you. Photos are also human-reviewed before they go live, so profiles stay real.
What happens to my profile when I check out?
Your profile becomes invisible to other guests at that hotel the moment your check-out date passes. Your account stays — so the next time you check in somewhere, you don't rebuild from scratch. Existing matches and message history are preserved.
Is it free?
Yes. Right now everything — unlimited likes, super-likes, matches, messaging, the live map — is free. We'll eventually introduce optional perks, but the core matching experience will always be free.
What if I'm staying somewhere Rendevuu doesn't list?
We use Google Places, so basically every hotel on Earth shows up in search. Boutique inns, motels, hostels — if it's on Google Maps, it's on Rendevuu.
Do hotels have to opt in?
No. Rendevuu is built guest-first. We don't need a partnership with the property to verify your stay or show you to other guests. We'd love to work with hotels that want to integrate, but it's never a requirement to use the app.
How is this different from Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge?
Those apps show you everyone within X miles, regardless of whether they're someone you can actually meet today. Rendevuu only shows you guests at your hotel right now. It's a much smaller pool, but every match is a person you could meet for coffee in 10 minutes. That's the whole point.
Is my location shared with other users?
We share that you're at a particular hotel during particular dates — that's the entire premise. We do not share your live GPS location, your room number, or any precise coordinates beyond the hotel itself. The optional Map view shows guests in lobby/common areas only when they choose to appear.
What's your safety policy?
Photo moderation, phone verification, in-app reporting on every profile, and a moderation team that reviews reports daily. Bad actors are removed and banned across phone numbers. See our safety page for the full policy.
When are iOS and Android apps coming?
Native apps are next on the roadmap. The web app is fully mobile-optimized and works as a PWA today — add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
